Orange-vented Mason Bee

A damp day, but the weather didn't stop this Orange-vented Mason-bee from foraging on an Ox-eye Daisy. We have a few of these bees nesting in holes drilled into our house bricks, and its fun to watch them coming and going.

Much of the day was spent preparing for our next trip to Sussex, including a trip to Waitrose to stock up on ready meals that can easily be heated up in a microwave!
