Wet!

It's rained all day, here: steady, heavy rain, saturating everything in the garden. Knowing that there are gusty winds forecast soon, I went out and picked as many mulberries as I could; somehow this felt good, feeling for the slender fruit in the tree as rain swished down all around.  If I hadn't picked them, there would soon have been a soggy black carpet under the tree; once they're ripe, they just drop off. Later I boxed some up for the freezer and made fruit puree with the rest.
Meanwhile, southern Europe bakes in a terrifying heatwave.
Will this increase awareness of the climate crisis...? We have to hope for that, and for more effective action too.
