Creation window
At Chester Cathedral . This was absolutely stunning. Designed by Rosalind Grimshaw and installed in 2001. The vibrancy is breath taking, and you will see that it depicts the 6 days it took God to create the world. We had a fantastic one on one conversation with an expert from the cathedral staff about the window which was just fascinating. (For further details see here https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3963993
I am not sure why god created horseflies. As I feared one of my two bites have got infected and we spent a good chunk of the afternoon at A&E at the countess of Chester hospital!
Had a lovely stroll around Chester. What a beautiful city. Walked the bulk of the city wall in warm rain, had a very pleasant lunch, afternoon courtesy of the NHS. (Excellent service again)., and then we had a delicious Chinese meal. All in all a lovely day, and Chester is one of the places I’ve been to since Covid that doesn’t seem to have lost half of its shops. Well worth the visit.
