Pitcher

Bit of a soggy evening so no walk. Instead, a close up of one of the pitchers from the plants (Sarracenia) in the kitchen. I’m fascinated by the sticky dew and rows of hairs designed to direct the flies down into the trumpet. This pitcher has a particularly nice red colouration. I’ve had these for nearly fifteen years now and they’re doing great. When the weather is warmer, I open the window and they have a bit of a feast. A wee bit too cool at the minute but I’m not complaining :)
