Cabbage Hall, Peebles

This place is on the histoic walking tour round the town ............. but I have no idea why or where the name came from

What I do know is that the towns war memorial (also on the tour) has a very impressive Celtic cross with stong Morocan influences under a nice copper roof.

The ball on the top of the roof has the names of ther architect, master mason etc set into it.
This was only descovered when the structure was renovated in the mid '90s.
