Red Dahlia...

...for Flower Friday.

I went out early to do a couple of little jobs and then to Sainsbury's for the shopping. A little later I cleaned the car just as it started to rain. From mid morning on we seemed to have continuous steady and gentle rain that was great for the garden but no so good for any farmer hoping to do some combining...

I really like the rich velvety red of this dahlia.
