Just waiting

This morning there were two fishers, standing impassive and motionless as fishers do. A pelican arrived and stood equally impassive, patiently waiting for the fish scraps. Everything changed when a toddler arrived with his mum, very excited by the pelican and not at all passive or patient.Then everything went back to normal, just waiting.
