Daisy

Today was sports say at Kory's nursery. The field it was held in had long grass, to the point that the kids were lifting their legs really high to run! This is a daisy from the field.

It wasn't a normal sports day, oh no! It was a mini Highland Games. The events were: wellie tossing, stirring the porridge, tattie & spoon race, bruce's spider, scotch broth and throw the haggis!

This would have been fine - only they did it in teams. Apparently they don't allow the kids to compete as it's not fair on the ones who never win and they all get a medal now. Not even just the winning team. So everyone wins.

Personally I think this is ridiculous and correctness gone to far. What does this teach kids? That in life everyone is equal? That you don't need to try hard? What harm did a bit of competition do anyone. Striving to win is something that is fundamental to the human race. Off my soapbox now.
