Blooming Lavatory Cisterns

We found these pieces of sanitary porcelain dumped and hidden under a bush in the garden when we moved to this house nearly seven years ago.

We found that if we blocked up the many holes made for plumbers, and filled the cisterns with earth, they made quite serviceable flowerpots. This year they are populated with some pansies that had seeded themselves elsewhere, and some other bright plants that we bought at a local Saturday market.

Never throw anything away: it might find some use or other!
