Sunshine

Bright and sunny day. Cycled to church this morning and got a lovely compliment from Terry on the door about me cycling with two kids in tow! Crocheted my way through creche while Bear got on with the serious business of playing, chatted afterwards, then cycled home again and got stuck in with sorting the tadpoles out with some fresh water. Bean did a sterling job fishing the tadpoles out of the green murk and releasing them into the clean pool. Their pool was filled with algae in a week. I need to figure out how to stop that. I think that contributed to the demise of one of the froglets and several tadpoles. I'll check on them again tomorrow but I almost cried when we found the dead froglet! The other two froglets were nowhere to be seen, I'm hoping they escaped and have found somewhere to hide from all the cats.

Bean started learning this afternoon about the importance of giving flowers to girls. Steve went outside and helped him pick a posy of flowers for Rosie, who will be four on Friday but whose party it was today. He also chose (admittedly with a bit of help from me) one of his toys to wrap up to give her. He settled on a fushia pink pickup truck, a very cool thing! Both boys had great fun at her party. Bean was happy to be with Rosie and Ede; Zeki (2) was delighted that Bean was there; Bear was just happy to have new stuff to explore and investigate and to run around!
