Aux Mille et une Couleurs
Today we had another art exhibition, but just for the morning on the market square. Only Marianne, our president, Mrs TT and I were available to man the display. There was a lot of interest shown, but the object was not to sell paintings but just to demonstrate our public profile so that we can justify our request for grant funds from the council and the department each year. A lot of people stopped to chat, and it was very pleasant until the shade disappeared. At that point, just before lunch, we packed up and went home. The best mussel, moules de bouchot, are back in season, so they will be my regular Saturday treat from now until winter. This afternoon I will watch the tennis final before bellringing. Jeff is away so it is up to me to lead the practice and welcome our English visitor who has travelled to holiday in the village, specially because of the presence of the bells.
