Climbing

Managed to get A’s presents wrapped and prepare some food for the kids for later then into MK to meet Mt and the wee ones for a climbing session. They were true to type…AR racing up lots of the different challenges and abseiling down with abandon, Mx being very tentative and wanting help but not wanting to be looked at and only climbing any distance when he was finally on his own and we were with AR!
Having had lots of complaints of hunger we decided to feed them straight afterwards and went to McDonalds, then round to K’s for tea and chat about barge curtains, heart irregularities, Tour de France and filthy weather (the rain had started again) whilst AR and Mx played with all the familiar toys.
Back home and whilst they did some colouring Mt and I sat in the garden (rain had stopped) and chatted some more about his job, communication problems, houses and family. The wind finally drove us indoors as it started flinging the chairs and the plants around…really wild!
Fed them, then when they’d gone I got some supper ready for A who arrived soon after with Paisley. She was a bit spooked by all the dog smells in the house and garden but eventually settled and A managed to get the TV working by streaming the internet from her phone! We vaguely watched some nonsense whilst chatting about her plans for the week and her visit to J&A’s on the way down.
