Soil

After weeks of complaining the masons delivered some top soil (rich in clay and not much organic material). My wife built a small dry stone wall to retain it. The picture isn't great but here it is.

This is a back blip and we had another batch delivered after this and then we got some compost to put on top and we'll let it do it's thing over the winter. Not sure what we'll put here it is shaded by the wall and neighbour's hedge, but in full summer it gets plenty of sun. The subsoil is full of tree roots, old tiles and general waste, but something should grow here - the blue bells were happy before.
