My Curry Spice Shelf

Every Sunday we have dinner together with Grandma, Grandpa, and the kids all come home for dinner. The menu is curry and rice. The traditions started when I came back to the USA for college and my sister lured me away from my studies by promising curry and rice. We could make the full meal in an hour. Through the years and decades, this tradition has carried on. For years, my parents made the curry and rice and brought it over to our house when the kids were small and life was too busy to cook. Now it is my turn to make the curry and take it over to their house. Chicken curry, veggie curry, dahl, rice, salad, mango lassie. Meals on Wheels! In honor of our roots, our family, the many years that my dad drove Meals on Wheels to feed the hungry of Wisconsin and India. This is my "Asian" Spice Shelf. I have another mirror cupboard full of spices for European/American food. I am spoiled! So many spices! So many dishes to create! So little time!
