A bit of brightness

A miserable drizzly morning when I walked up to church this morning. Much brighter on the walk back home but very windy.

I’m posting these bright pots of red impatiens on the table on the back patio and on the front steps as they look good whether wet or dry. (You can see the tree fern in the background of the main picture)

After weeks of not having the boiler on we had to put it on this morning to make sure we had enough hot water, we have solar thermal panels, the sun this afternoon may mean we can turn it off again.

The forecast for the rest of July doesn’t look to be much bringing much change. A big difference from the heat of last July. Still I’m glad we haven’t got the high temperatures in southern Europe and the US at the moment.
