surmount

We haven't been past this much over the past six years except for once in April and once again in May when we didn't have time to stop or were stopping elsewhere nearby instead. One of the wee wagon things sold the nice wide chocolate muffins, too.
We weren't allowed to check in until after 1600 but didn't set off until well past lunchtime as we were waiting for Nicky's new trainers to be delivered. Shortly after arriving and unpacking it was time to head to nearby Thirsk to collect our Tesco collection order. Later, there was a nice thunderstorm to watch and listen to from the wee caravan/chalet thing we'll be in for the next week.
