Lavender….

A beautiful afternoon at Castle Farm lavender fields, Shoreham. Such rich colour and the wonderful smell of lavender everywhere.

It was busy today; the last weekend before harvesting begins on 24th July. We took our own picnic but many had booked picnics to enjoy sitting in the lavender fields.

The barn was full of tempting treats, artisan jewellery and pottery. So much to simply look at, appreciate and enjoy!

No rain, plenty of sun and a gentle breeze today, making it an afternoon delight.
