A Day at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea
This was Son#2 and his partner's last day with us so we had a day out a few miles up the coast at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea. One reason for choosing that location was to explore the Art Trail there but we also had a good walk around the town and along the beach.
I'd initially intended to blip some of the artwork but that can wait until another time as we like these photos better. I was able to grab the photo in the main blip as our son & partner walked across the beach towards the large Hunkleton Stone (a relic from the Ice Age) with the large sculpture ("The Couple") in the distance (I blipped that before, 2 years ago).
The first extra shows a massive collection of barnacles on the stony part of the beach. Later we were treated to an exciting show by some guys on jetskis.
