Big Butterfly Count Day 4

And I’ve blipped a Beautiful Demoiselle. 
Even more contrary, it’s a male. (The females are green).

But I’m far from downhearted.

Between the torrential downpours it’s been glorious and I ventured over to Elford Walled Garden to see what butterflies had emerged.

First buddleia - there must have been a dozen Red Admirals.
Second buddleia - probably more.

There were quite a few Large Whites around too.

Sadly, apart from a stunning solitary Comma, that was all that appeared for me.

But it was a delight to be in their company. Let us hope for more and more……better late than never. 

(And my guilt at spending all day yesterday watching Le Tour and Carlos, is slightly atoned for as I’ve cleaned upstairs and plan to do more.)
