Solidarity Plaza, Clydebank

Sited opposite Clydebank Town Hall, this public space incorporates granite as well as other softer landscaping materials.
The 10- metre high monolith is the most notable feature; it incorporates red LED lighting markers which are strikingly noticeable at night.
The space also commemorates the Clydebank Blitz of March 1941, including the crew of the Polish ship O.R.P. Piorun (which was docked for repairs in Clydebank at that time) who manned their anti-aircraft guns against the Luftwaffe attack.
