Apples!

I was surprised to see these when I looked down the garden today as I hadn't noticed that the apples had appeared on the tree.  Most are still very small, but it looks as though there will be a huge crop again like last year.  I still haven't used up the previous bags of chopped apples and apple sauce! There look to be damsons appearing too.  They didn't ripen last year before falling from the tree - I missed my damson liqueur at Christmas!  Amazed it keeps going though as the centre of the tree is broken up and hollow.  Perhaps it has heard me say that I will be chopping it down?!
