Quick trip!

I spent longer travelling to and from London today than I actually was there. It was the only opportunity I had to meet with a friend from Israel who is heading up to Glasgow for a conference on ‘Outlander’ where she is presenting on costuming 

A lovely chat. She is so learned and knows so much about historical costume, it’s always a pleasure to meet up.  We met via our respective husbands, who both do conferences together, so I think it’s the third time we’ve met up.

Her ‘day job’ is a translator, and she’s the official translator for the Obama’s autobiographies. Costumes are her hobby!
