Napier - Day 1
This is a late posting.
We had a leisurely morning and I started trying to catch up with comments from Blippers and dipping into their journals. We decided to go out for lunch, so went over to Ahuriri and had a delicious salad and a coffee at Miss Brown’s. After lunch we visited a store called Little and Fox, which is a design store full of unique fabrics, rugs, lampshades and bespoke home furnishings. We had no intention of buying but enjoyed looking as it’s a lovely store to wander around. Our next call was at a store called Vetro where we browsed the shelves looking for a couple of items our host, T, had told us about. Mission accomplished we walked back to the car and returned home. I managed to make more progress on catching up with comments and Blippers’ journals.
At 5:30pm we hopped into the car and drove to a friend’s house, where we were joined by two other friends for dinner. We had a lovely evening with delicious home-cooked food. It was so good to see the three of them. We were home by 9pm and in bed by 10pm. Unfortunately, MrMacD has a sore throat and head cold, so isn’t feeling 100%.
This is the inner harbour and marina at Ahuriri.
