The next generation

Wimbledon is over for another year. The men’s singles final (sorry, it’s still called Gentlemen’s singles at Wimbledon) was so long that we only finished watching it today, two days after it was played. The young Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz won, defeating Novak Djokovic in five epic sets. Carlos is hugely talented and apparently without fear. No doubt we will be seeing a lot more of him.
