Contours & Stripes (on the landscape)
I must be feeling brave, to turn, for what to many, with an oilseed rape field's yellow, is the colour, into black and white. Here, that rapeseed comes out as the pale stripe across the middle.
Yes - this is the correct tilt and angle, the hillside slopes downward pretty steeply - look at the lorry on the right hand edge as it climbs Dean Hill on the Salisbury to Southampton A36 main trunk road.
The dark grey block is green grass in shadow - a day with passing cloud on quite a breezy day is always good for patterns and shadows dancing on the landscape. The 300mm lens (eqv to 450mm in 35mm terms) bunches up the perspective and makes the contours more pronounced.

Thanks to all who got my yesterday's Chairs in Church blip well into the Spotlight, where it still is
Have a great week everyone!
