ANOTHER ROOM WITH A VIEW

Woke up at 7.00am, looked out of the window to see it absolutely chuntering it down so abandoned the idea of getting up and going to Skipton Castle, went back to bed instead for another snooze!!!!

When I got up it had brightened a bit but has been showering, heavy at times most of the day so probably a good call.

We decided to pop out for brunch to Brooke Supplies and Garden Centre Cafe at Flookburgh instead.   It is very small, has small but good pet tools sections plus a small garden centre.  Like a lot of places some things are expensive some are reasonable, but well worth supporting local business irrespective.  It also now has an excellent cafe.  A fairly limited menu but what they have is excellent and home-made (not just home cooked, which basically means they can just heat it up to qualify for home cooked!!!) food. 

Delicious brunch, just a small breakfast muffin really but beautifully cooked.  It was quiet when we arrived about 11:40 but soon became fairly busy.   This is the view from the cafe.  It actually overlooks the cemetery and the  fells beyond plus the church is right next door - which I will visit one day when it's not chuntering it down.

I'm paring back on some things at the moment anyway whilst we wait to find out more about Hubby's major forthcoming operation, which does get me in a bit of a dither.  Hubby is training G up on how to help me out so that is very helpful.  I've also stopped sharing things to Facebook, simply because we're keeping all this fairly private

Anyway enough of that I'm trying not to let it all take me over and am carrying on etc.
