The Greater Stag Beetle

At about two inches long, he is almost too big to be a Tiny Tuesday  subject, but I think he is just about small enough to pass.

He was found wandering happily along the footpath and fortunately we all managed to side step him. I of course stopped to take his picture. He seemed quite interested in what I was doing.

Jak was a bit put out because he had an appointment in the field with his ball, which was in my bag.
