Aftermath

As most folks were leaving after a muddy festival weekend at Beatherder, a team from Festival Waste Reuse and Diversion (and local volunteers) were arriving to start to sort out the mess left behind.

We thought we'd arrived too early at first as there were so many tents/camping chairs/airbeds/boots left amongst the huge amount of rubbish - but sadly this is how some people left the site.

We were there working with the British Textile Biennial and artist Rebecca Chesney, who will be using some of the discarded tent material (from tents that aren't salvagable) to create work for this year's biennial.
