close encounter

We seem to have a lot of butterflies at the moment.  They've come in the past couple of days.  The feral buddleia which hangs over our back wall is full of red admirals, peacocks, small tortoiseshells and gatekeepers.  

They're too far away to shoot on my phone, so here's a red admiral which landed a bit closer.
