The day the laptop died
I had uploaded a photo and written an entry for this day, but just before I clicked "publish this entry" I knocked over a cup of camomile tea and it slooshed across the table and into my laptop. I was so busy being concerned about hot legs, a wet carpet and a flooded table I didn't notice the laptop for a minute, and then I realised the screen was black.
My photos for the day had all been loaded onto the laptop and deleted from the camera. I had written quite a long entry with a lot of words (I can't remember why now, but I had a lot I wanted to say) and I had been very excited about a photo of a young deer I wanted to share.
But it's all gone and so is my laptop.
Earlier that day I'd taken this photo through the car window on my phone.
So I've still managed to not miss a day. Small comfort.
