A is for Anchor
Another beautiful day!
Did lots of little things, went to the Meadows Festival again, meandered around town and generally walked a great deal around this city of light. Dr T, by contrast, stayed home and worked. When I returned he was feeling a bit cooped up so suggested a stroll along the prom.
I took lots of good pictures today of familiar Edinburgh landmarks but I knew I had my blip with this one. Dr T, on the left (in so many things) is wearing a t shirt depicting Woody Guthrie and his guitar that has 'This machine kills fascists' written upon it. Paul, on the right, is one of our neighbours, is originally from New York and is a tattoo artist of some repute. Can't you just see that New York moxie in his smile?
Paul has just published an alphabet book illustrated by tattoos - how cool is that? This was the book launch party on the prom.
We're off on Monday night to see Billy Bragg, a fine metaphorical descendent of Woody. Here's a little taste.
