Colourful Wall

Photo taken at Monument Metro Station in the heart of Newcastle City Centre.  There were great changes in Newcastle during the late 1960's and 1970's.  Not all of them good as some lovely old buildings were pulled down.  However, one good thing was the arrival of a modern urban city railway in the city centre and beyond.  It carries thousands of passengers each day.  Definitely a feat of modern engineering.  I used it yesterday to take me to the coast.
