Crocosmia time

This photo taken at RHS Bridgewater last week, but mine is in flower too. My mother originally gave me a few corms but it has made clumps along the length of the border, drawing the eye beautifully. Such a useful and easy plant!
The car had to go and have new brake pads or something today, and as they initially said they might need the car all day Rob came home on the train! Not to miss out, I went with him to collect. We walked down Beehive Lane and past the Staion Inn, a very pleasant stroll in the lockdown although somewhat busier today! The train was on time and very full. The ticket office woman said the government is trying to get all booking offices closed! She got us to sign the petition and if you would like to too, you can do it online, until 25th July. Things just get worse for the railways don’t they?
