To Corsica
So when the exchange to Corsica was definitely on (we've been planning this since pre-covid) I had a hankering to get on a ferry as a foot passenger to get here and today...
Morning in Nice. Visited MAMAC the modern art museum which was really interesting. There was an exhibit made using pages out of a Tintin book that was really thought provoking. I love Tintin but there are challenges with it and this was just remarkable.
Yves Klein and Niki Saint Phalle too.
Then lunch in Place Garibaldi at a cafe that had a thing that sprayed a mist of water every now and again.
To the port, onto the ferry and 7 hours, a plate of pasta and a French chat with a fellow passenger later we were in Bastia. Of course there was a bit of a hold up getting off which caused a hairy situation with the taxis but in the end shared one at 6 minutes to midnight (that's when they stop) with some new Norwegian pals. They got to their hotel and I got to my new home for the next 12 days or so before anyone turned into a pumpkin. Ace.
Can't wait to see the place in the daylight tomorrow.
