Cheeky monsters
We moved the big herd of 700 pairs of cows and calves today. They were less than cooperative. It involved another worker and I having the fetch them out of dense trees that they broke back into. However I did find some labrador tea plant growing there so whilst cursing at the cows I was grabbing leaves and stuffing them in my pouch pocket of my hoodie! We did get them all together and into the right field. Pip worked really well too. We were down a quad bike so I was on foot for it all. Over 20000 steps accomplished!
The phone call from the silage guy later saying there was cattle everywhere was not so good. Husband went to see what he could do but the buggers had royally made a mess of fences and we're everywhere too big a job for late at night so it was decided to leave then until the morning.
