I started the day by messaging the lovely daughter to see if she was safely at work.  A shooting had occurred at the bottom of Queen St Auckland.  The bus terminal and the office building she works in are in that area.  She had used an uber this morning because she had an early gym session and was perfectly safe back in the office when she rang me back.  In time we will find out what motivated a young man of 24 to take a pump action shotgun onto a building site and kill two people and injure others.  
After a week of sunshine the weather may be on the change.  This is looking at the estuary this afternoon.  We went to visit Elsie this afternoon.  She is the sister in laws mother and in spite of living with pain was asking us questions about our trip.
