Silver Wash Fritillary

Nicer weather today so we took advantage of it and went to Chambers Farm woods in search of butterflies . Our target species was to hopefully see the Purple emperor but sadly no sign of any. We made up for it seeing this lovely Silver Wash Fritillary butterfly . A few other bits around including a very small Green shield bug see extra its  around the size of a ladybird and also quite a few crickets more shots are on Flickr ..
Back home for a spot of lunch and then  enjoyed watching a fine England performance in the cricket . A couple of jobs done around the house and a relaxed evening planned
