Hollyhocks

Finally after weeks of not picking up a paint brush I had time this morning for a quick watercolour and sketch. The hollyhocks have always been one of my favourite flowers to paint so I’m pleased to have made a start.
You can see the flowers just outside the patio doors. It’s great, apart from the breeze they stand still and are very good models.
