Nets and ropes and chains and fishing stuff
Today for the first time in quite a few months I did a volunteer drive for the local Home Hospice, I took a lady to visit her mother in Kings Lynn. While she was visiting I went down to the river to look for blips.
There were three boats tied up on the riverside, all with their nets out drying but no crew about. The Kings Lynn fishing fleet has shrunk a lot over the years, its bigger than the three boats I saw but it is not large as there is not many parking spaces for other boats. I understand their main catch is shellfish that is mostly exported to Spain.
Parking was free for an hour so I made the most of it, strolling with my camera in the sunshine, very relaxing. I returned to the hospital and sat in the coffee shop until the lady was ready to go.
A stress free day
I had a problem I had not encountered previously; my original photo file was too large for Blip. I reduced the quality and it went through. Not sure why this picture is so much bigger than the others.
