Les Banques

Today I'm back to my milestone theme. This one is along Les Banques, 1 mile from town. For four years this stone was missing while the Admiral Park development was underway. However upon completion of that project, the stone was replaced.
While researching this I discovered that the row of houses that used to stand at this spot were called 'Milestone Terrace', which is rather quaint. I managed to find a picture of them. How different the scene is now. In some ways I think I prefer the view of the old fashioned houses along the front to their gleaming modern replacement. I suppose we have to keep up with the times.
