Highland Games
Today we continued driving upwards through Scotland, stopping on the way at some Highland games. The highlight was definitely Hugh winning not just first place in his wrestling competition, but second place in the weight (or age, I don't know how it works) group up! It was great to watch. There was hammer throwing, some nice market stalls, and some rides such as this one. I noticed a pretty stupid looking sign next to Adelaide and Jane while I was taking photos, luckily I don't think they read it.
If I thought bagpipes were interesting before, I don't anymore. There would have been a good 30 or 40 bagpipe players around. I don't mean any offense to bagpipe players, but they all sound the same and play the same thing. It got to a point where I would have very gladly popped some bagpipes or just put my fingers in my ears and run away. It was a nice day despite the racket though, Australia should really get some sort of national games.
