Skara Brae, Skail house and falconry
Off to Scara Brae, a Neolithic stone billiard which is amazingly well preserved. I particularly enjoyed this but found it fascinating that so little is really known about how they lived. We also enjoyed Skail house and the falconry display, especially once Graham went and had a word and some of the children help this owl. We had lunch in Kirkwall and visited the Cathedral. We have ‘t seen all the Orkney’s have to offer but funnily enough Graham and I both feel like we have seen more than last visit. This is probably due mostly to mobile phones and technology..and the ability to research on the go. It has made quite a difference this trip..
