Likely lads
Manfully delivering a vigorous rendition of 'Summertime', on a chilly, windswept city centre street. Not busking; I think they were possibly part of the lead-up to the local 'Tramlines' summer music festival here. They livened up my walk from the car park to the Crucible Theatre, where Richard & I had booked to see Miss Saigon.
This was a booking made in the depths of winter, with theatre vouchers given to us by Nik, R's eldest. It was a truly spectacular production. I loved it; R was more ambivalent, not warming to its fully operatic format (modelled on Puccini's Madame Butterfly, but set in 1970s Vietnam). We did agree, though, that both the set and the performances were stunning.
