Hares

I was really surprised to see two hares first thing this morning. Quite hard to see as the grass is quite tall. They mated so hopefully they’ll be some young ones in about 41 days. I was not expecting them to mate but the breeding season continues till the end of August and can they have three litters a year.
And then another appeared , chased off eventually by the original male. Can you see his ears behind the other two ?
Finished the Brownie Accounts, wrote a letter that was needed by the museum and contacted the ‘new ‘ parents. We will need another Volunteer if they all take up their places.
