Eilean Donan Castle

Another day of travelling, stopping to charge the car and take local walks. It started with a before breakfast swim - photo taken by MrP in extras. One of the interesting places we stopped at was the Commandos Memorial at Spean Bridge - extra. It overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle. .You can read about it here.  We did a walk from the memorial to view a wonderful old ruined General Wade military road bridge.   The Blip is  much photographed and filmed Eilean Dunan Castle. I couldn't pass without driving to the viewpoint for a photo. We've got as far as Uig on Skye.  Harris tomorrow.
