Best laid plans...

I took my good friend out for a birthday treat today.
We had planned to go to Hampton Court, but every approach was lined with enormous amounts of traffic. Unfortunately there had been an accident and the M4 was closed. After 40 minutes to get 5 miles, we decided to detour to Windsor. Another 30 mins and 2 miles later we decided to abort the mission and go into a convenient garden centre for coffee and regroup (and toilet break).
It turned out to be a lovely day. We had a great lunch, wonderful chat and did some garden shopping.
What more could we want?
