Rainy winter day

Bitterly cold here today. We spent two and a half hours sorting out tax receipts, drove to get Maisie's special food, did washing for son and family who have a cracked sewer pipe (oh no!) and walked the dog. Our washing is hanging in the kitchen: high ceiling so makes use of the heat. 
Many laughs on afternoon walk as we met neighbour Mark and his dog Hazel (pictured in extra). Mark has a razor-sharp wit and was inventing slogans for elections as we critiqued the local area politics and politicians. 
Hazel has very recently decided that I am a friend after knowing me for 
over a year. Posed beautifully for me.
