Last day in Avignon

We're going to Nimes tomorrow, but think we'll be coming back to Avignon - love the little narrow streets and all the history round every corner. I wasted the morning recovering from a hangover though, far too much wine yesterday, I'm out of practice. As we were walking back from the town centre last night, we met the couple staying in the apartment above ours so decided to share a couple of bottles of wine instead of being sensible and going to bed!

Today we walked into the town via a different route and did some exploring, ending up climbing all the steps up from the river to the gardens of the Palace of the Popes, where I took this photo - on Gary's iPhone as I'd forgotten to pick mine up.
