Blockbuster at Belmont & Cumberland

My brother's girlfriend came from New Jersey to surprise him for his birthday (which was yesterday). After helping Kaela plan it for weeks, I picked her up from O'Hare and I had the pleasure of seeing Cal's surprised face when she walked in.

After watching the fireworks at Navy Pier, Melissa and I headed to a Mexican joint in Summit for a very late dinner. I got us lost because I thought the restaurant was on one street instead of another, so after a while, we finally got there. When we walked in, we noticed a bunch of cops investigating the place. The guy behind the counter said that someone shot a bullet through the window. If we hadn't gotten lost, we would have witnessed it. One of the cops found a bullet and held it up for everyone to see. I noticed a bullet hole in the window and a couple more holes in the door. Really intrigued, I asked a cop a few questions before Melissa hurriedly dragged me to her car. I think I'll be back.
