Changing of the Guard

At Windsor Castle this morning, This is the band of the Coldstream Guards. The extra is of No 7 Company Coldstream Guards who are taking over guard duty from F Company Scots Guards.

When I asked a marshall further down the hill, she suggested if I hurried there were still one or two seats left on approach to the Castle where I could join the other people to have a close up view of the Guard. It was lovely as had a couple on one side from Andover, also chap with his son. We were joined by a Mom, daughter and granddaughter from the States over on holiday. So made for a chatty little group waiting patiently.

The morning had started dry, but within half hour of the parade finish it started to spit with rain, and by the time I walked back to the hotel it had got to be serious. And it hasn't stopped since. Just hope it will be dry tomorrow afternoon,as I have a 20min walk to the boat. So fingers crossed
